About Us

Pastor and Mrs. Joseph Lang met in graduate school at Pensacola Christian College in the summer of 1999, and have enjoyed serving the Lord together at Berean Baptist Church of White House for over 12 years. They have 8 children here and 1 in Heaven.  

Pastor has his undergraduate in Pastoral Ministries, his Master of Divinity from Pensacola Theological Seminary, and had spent 2 years as an assistant pastor, and 3 years serving under Dr. Shelton Smith at the Sword of the Lord Publishers before coming to White House in October of 2008 to pastor Berean Baptist Church.  

The Lang family has been homeschooling for the past 14 years, and has just seen their oldest, Micaiah, graduate from high school, to attend Ambassador Baptist College.  

The children enjoy listening to Stories of Great Christians, Ranger Bill,  and Lamplighter Theatre Audio Dramas and delight in reading lots of books.

In Acts 17:11, the Bereans were a people who heard Bible truth, and searched the Scriptures daily to see whether what they were hearing lined up with God's Word.

God has called out a people to Himself called the church. And it's our job to be the "pillar and ground of truth," holding forth the light of the gospel to a world in darkness. We believe that the Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, and our desire is to be God's Lighthouse in White House, TN.

We love to welcome visitors and to help in our community, and the greatest way we can help is by holding forth the Word of God, which offers the eternal hope of eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. We would be delighted to have you come and visit us this week.

We have found many individuals across Sumner and Robertson County, whose churches have "left them behind,” to move into the pop culture of this world's contemporary driven church models, which try to incorporate the world into their music and preaching philosophy. At Berean, we love the old paths of Bible teaching, soul winning, prayer meetings, and worshipful music. If you have been left behind by the amplified drums and devotional thoughts, step aside and visit us. Our goal is to be set apart from the world and to lift up our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ in our song, our preaching, and in our individual daily walk with Him!
